Publicity and Press Releases about BAP The Amazing Car
The Synopsis of the first story - BAP FINDS A HOME
BAP is a little car who is made out of Bits And Pieces (hence his name). He's painted all the colours of the rainbow. After he's been built, Old Bill takes him to a showroom because he already has a car.
Whilst there, BAP meets all the other cars, including Sunbeam (a sports car) and Moriarty (a limousine type car with absolutely no manners!) Moriarty is very rude to BAP because he feels superior to him. He views BAP as very small and insignificant compared to him. BAP just wants to be friends, but Moriarty rejects all his efforts and sulks all night.
While all the cars are asleep that night, a bright light appears and its rays touch BAP. A fairy descends and recites a spell.
BAP doesn't remember this the following morning, all the knows is he's not so depressed - he feels something is different about him - something special.
The next morning BAP is sold to the very first customer - Mr Green rejects Moriarty because he is too flashy! BAP is delighted and quite happily says goodbye to his new friends.
But things don't quite go according to plan …
When they arrive at Mr Green's home, BAP is heartbroken to find there is no home for him to live in.
He begins to feel really sorry for himself and, as if to add insult to injury, it starts to rain. However, Mr green being the kindly soul he is, brings out a blanket to cover BAP for the night. He promises that the next morning they will get some wood to make him a home of his own.
On the way back from the timber yard they see Moriarty, who has finally been sold but has broken down on his way to the airport! He's going to be sent back to the garage in disgrace. BAP tries his hardest to help but, because he is so small, he is unsuccessful - he simply doesn't have the strength to pull the larger car. He admits defeat and closes his yes, a feeling of great sadness overwhelming him. Just when it looks as though all is lost, he starts to feel very strange and, to everyone's amazement, changes into the very thing that Moriarty needs - a tow truck!
BAP saves the day!
This superbly written, and charmingly illustrated book, will be lobed by children the world over. Children everywhere will love BAP because he is always friendly and manages to help - even on the rare occasions when he is unable to change into what is needed.
Look out for many more exciting adventures with BAP, Sunbeam, Moriarty and all the other friends that BAP makes along the way.
